#accidental #lesion in the upper #esophagus

A 45-year-old woman complaining of epigastric pain and persistent vomiting was admitted to the endoscopy unit. The patient underwent upper digestive endoscopy. The scope revealed gastric erythematous mottling. Also, the endoscopist noticed a lesion at the upper esophagus. In your opinion,  should we proceed with investigations or discard this esophageal lesion?
