Gastric outlet obstruction, for young gastroenterologists

A 32-year-old man presented with repeated vomiting and weight loss 40 days ago. Barium meal revealed obstruction at the pyloric ring. The patient underwent an upper digestive endoscopy. The scope revealed food and fluid in the stomach despite fasting for over 12 hours. The scope passed into the duodenum with difficulty. Also, the scope showed a mass lesion obstructing the pylorus. Histopathological examination revealed nonspecific inflammation. The patient underwent surgical resection of the mass. Histopathology revealed poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma.
