Duodenitis dissecans superficialis, and esophagitis dissecans
superficialis
A 75-year-old man presented with a massive attack of
hematemesis and melena and was admitted to the endoscopy unit. The patient gives a
history of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory treatment. The patient underwent
upper GI endoscopy. The scope revealed sloughing of the esophageal and duodenal
mucosa and multiple small gastric ulcers.
