A 6-year-old girl ingested a foreign body(# coin) (#Egyptian pound). The girl underwent upper digestive endoscopy and the coin was extracted using #foreign body forceps.
the coin was detected about 12 cm from the incisor tooth. The type of anesthesia was conscious sedation using propofol. make sure that the forceps grasp only the coin and no any trapped tissue with it( you can make sure of that by direct visualization of the forceps and the foreign body during extraction).
