A 73 -year-old woman presented with an attack of hematemesis and melena was admitted to the intensive care unit. Hemoglobin level was 4.7gm/dl. The patient underwent upper digestive endoscopy. The scope revealed a large gastric ulcer on the lesser curvature in the sub cardiac region.
What is your opinion?
Take a biopsy or not?
Benign or malignant?
the video is poor quality, however, it looks like non-bleeding visible vessel. I suggest not to take biospy. it may bleed again. either leave it since it's not bleeding, or put a clips on it. intesntive does of PPI. Repeat gastrosocpy in 3 weeks.
