Spreading the word about the Research Practice Survey

Hi Salem,
I wonder if perhaps you could support a current eLife initiative – promotion of our Research Practice Survey, please?
Would you be willing to reach out to the head of your institute or a communications office there to ask if they might spread the word among staff for us? Below is the email you can use to ask them about sending the survey around the institution. Feel free to amend as you see fit (also – please complete the details in square brackets!)
If you don't feel confident about approaching 'the authorities', maybe you could email the 'message for forwarding' directly to colleagues, networks, and mailings lists etc. that you're part of?
Let me know if you have any questions.
I'd be very grateful for your help!  ðŸŒ·
Best wishes,
Kora
Ambassadors email to the department:
Subject: Invitation to take part in a global survey about research practices

Dear [title and name of the person],
As an eLife Community Ambassador, I am involved in a global network of early-career researchers promoting open science and responsible behaviours in research environments. I would like to bring a research project currently run by eLife to your attention. The Research Practice Survey intended as a worldwide assessment of current popular and emerging practices used by scientists. I hope we could distribute the survey among the research staff in our department.
eLife and its partners in this effort, are looking to paint a more accurate picture of research practices used worldwide, and assess any gaps in resources that could aid a transition towards greater transparency, reproducibility, and collaboration. The results of the survey as well as underpinning anonymised data will be made openly available.
Please could you let me know if our department could get involved by distributing the survey by email or a newsletter among colleagues? Let me know if you have any questions or would like any assistance in sending the survey to research staff.
To make it easier, below I enclose a message that we could use to forward the survey.
With best wishes,
[Your name]

Subject: Would you take the Research Practice Survey from eLife?
Hello,
Please see a message about research into popular and emerging research practices from eLife. We think it’s an interesting initiative and encourage you to take the survey too, to share your voice in this world wide consultation.
Dear Researcher,
eLife is asking researchers across the life and biomedical sciences to take a survey about the adoption of different research practices. To thank you for your time, you can enter a prize draw for one of five $100 gift cards.
We’re looking to learn if there’s any appetite for change in the scientific community, to inform the development of relevant resources and policies to make sure these are in tune with the community’s needs and wishes. We’re very keen to learn about your perspective.
Kind regards,
Kora Korzec
