A 14-year-old girl presented with
epigastric pain, abdominal distension, and vomiting was admitted to our
hospital. The patient gave a history of similar attacks two months ago, and the
patient sought medical advice. The patient prescribed proton pump inhibitors,
prokinetic agents, and symptomatic treatment, but without improvement. The
laboratory investigations revealed microcytic hypochromic anemia (HB= 9.1). The
patient underwent upper digestive endoscopy, which revealed endoscopic features
of h pylori gastritis (the diagnosis was confirmed by histopathological
examination). Examination of the duodenum showed pale, whitish mucosa. Multiple
biopsies were taken for histopathological examination. What is your provisional
diagnosis?
