a tumor at the cardiac region of the stomach

A 48-year-old man on regular follow up endotherapy for esophageal varices.  Upper digestive endoscopy revealed a small nodule in the subcardiac region of the stomach. what is your opinion(varices or a tumor).

after one month of the digestive endoscopy, the patient undergone endoscopic ultrasonography which revealed a sessile polyp 5mm in length (hyperplastic vs adenomatous) for follow up
