A 53-year-old man presented with melena. The patient gives a history of chronic liver disease with decompensated cirrhosis and ascites. Upper digestive endoscopy showed large gastric varices that injected with 5 ampoules of amacryl. Palpation of the injected varix revealed that it was successfully secured.
