Do these small ulcers explain the patient's condition#?

A74 -year-old man presented with an attack of hematemesis, and melena was admitted to our hospital. The patient gave a history of ischemic heart disease and antiplatelet therapy (aspirin). Also, there was a previous attack of melena two months ago with a blood transfusion of 2 packed RBCs units. After patient resuscitation and blood transfusion (the patient's hemoglobin level was 7g/dl), the patient underwent upper digestive endoscopy that revealed two lower esophageal ulcers#. 1- Do these two ulcers explain the patient's severe anemia? 2- Is this the frequent site of esophageal ulcers? 3- What is the cause of this ulcer?
