Even minor procedures can be problematic (A spurter from taking biopsies from the lower esophagus)

A 26-year-old man presented to our hospital with persistent epigastric pain, and heartburn was admitted to our hospital. The patient gave a long term history of proton pump inhibitors use. Upper digestive endoscopy was undertaken. A spurter resulted from biopsies that were taken from the lower esophagus. What is your opinion 1- nothing, wait-and-see policy. 2- intervene?

Was the biopsy taken with non-needle biopsy forceps? I think i would inject with adrenaline

Fortunately, the bleeding stopped spontaneously.
It is a needle biopsy forceps.

Unfortunately the biopsy forceps grasped an arterial vessel. I would inject epinephrin and observe with a clip in hand ready to use
