A 70-year-old woman presented with recurrent microcytic hypochromic anemia. The patient gave a past history of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and liver cirrhosis due to HCV infection. The patient was several times admitted to the hospital for blood transfusion. Upper GI endoscopy was done and revealed antral GAVE. This is the second set of band ligation for this patient. My question for all of you is: what is the clear difference between Antral GAVE and antral varices?
