A 60-year-old female patient with a past history of chronic liver disease presented with an acute attack of upper GI bleeding. Upper GI endoscopy revealed a small fundal varix.  One cm of distilled water was injected into varix, then 4 amps of amacryl were injected, lastly, 0.5cm of distilled water was injected into varix. Notice that there was a change in the variceal color due to injection. Also, pressing varix after variceal injection showed hard consistency denoting a perfect procedure.
