Portal hypertensive gastropathy


A 44-year-old Egyptian man gives past history of liver cirrhosis and splenomegaly due to a chronic HCV infection.The patient on regular follow up upper digestive endoscopy for band ligation of esophageal varices. In this setting, the patient endoscopy revealed severe congestive gastropathy in the fundus and also portal hypertensive duodenopathy.
