Bleeding gastropathy#

A 63-year-old man presented with upper GI bleeding in the form of hematemesis and melena. The patient admitted to the ICU unit for resuscitation. Upper GI endoscopy revealed severe portal gastropathy with whitish overlying mucosa( may be a fungal infection). The patient gives a history of previous upper GI endoscopies for injection of esophageal varices. It is the most severe portal gastropathy I had ever seen. You can notice easy bleeding on touch with the endoscopy during the fundal examination.
